Day Maker

We're looking for friendly people to help greet visitors at Visitor Reception. You'll give tailored advice by listening to visitors, helping them find their way around and sharing our seasonal best bits. Taking pride in high presentation standards, you'll pick litter to help keep The Vyne looking its best. We need passionate individuals who can share our conservation story and charity status with visitors so they can understand the real impact of memberships and fundraising. Ideally, we're looking for someone who could do one day a week, 10am-4pm, but this is flexible.

What sorts of things do volunteers typically get up to?

Below is a selection of some of the typical volunteer roles you can expect to find at The Vyne.

House volunteers

Volunteers in the house are friendly faces for visitors, welcoming and guiding them around The Vyne, and ready to share stories and facts with those who’d like to know a little more.

Garden and countryside volunteers

If you’re green-fingered or just like to work outdoors, then volunteering in the garden or across the wider estate might be the perfect role for you.
