The Georgian summer party
See how the Georgian’s liked to party in 1784 with playful displays throughout the mansion house.

In 2025, we celebrate 250 years since Thomas Harley acquired Berrington Hall and commissioned Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown and Henry Holland to create its gardens, parkland and Neo-classical mansion.
As part of our celebrations, you can step into the summer of 1784 as Thomas Harley’s infamous dining group, the Gang, takes over Berrington Hall. Inspired by Bridgerton, the house will come to life with elegant displays of Georgian leisure—from music and letter writing to garden strolls and lawn games. Whether its ladies sketching in the Drawing Room, gents feasting in the Dining Room, or maidservants preparing for the day, this is history brought to life with a playful, immersive twist.
Then, like any grand Georgian day out, there’s opportunity to promenade in the walled garden and brand-new flower garden.
This exhibition is included with normal admission.
The mansion is open from 11am until 5pm. Last entrance at 4pm.
